What does a 2D animation studio do?
A 2D animation studio writes, designs and animates flat, illustrated video. We handle the script, storyboard, artwork, animation, voiceover and music, so you get a finished video ready to publish on your website and social channels.
How much does 2D animation cost?
Projects start from £750. You get a fixed quote before we start, based on length, number of scenes and how much character animation is involved. There are no surprise extras once we begin, and every review round is included.
How long should an animated explainer be?
Usually 60 seconds to 2 minutes for a website explainer, with shorter cut downs for social. Shorter holds attention better and costs less. Our explainer videos follow the same rule.
Is 2D animation better than live action?
It depends what you’re showing. 2D animation suits software, services and ideas that are hard to show on camera. Live action suits people, places and products. We make both, so we’ll tell you honestly which fits your idea.
Can you animate in our brand style?
Yes. We work from your logo, colours and fonts, or design a style with you. For something with more depth, see our 3D animation, and for moving type and graphics try motion graphics.
Do you make 2D animation outside Essex?
Yes. We’re based in Braintree, Essex, and work with clients across the UK. Everything is done remotely, with review rounds on the video itself so you can comment on exact moments.
